You can build a whole quiz from your catalog, or build one yourself from a blank quiz. Either way, nothing is visible to shoppers until you publish.
Build from your catalog
- Open Quizzes in the app navigation.
- Click Build a quiz. Once you already have a quiz, this button is called New quiz. It takes you to the create form.
- In About your store, describe your store and who shops with you in a sentence or two. Not sure what to write? Click Magic Prompt to get an editable description from your catalog.
- Optional: choose an Quiz builder (Default, Smarter or Ultra, which needs Pro) and a Quiz language. Automatic detects the language from what you write and your catalog.
- Click Build my quiz. It takes about a minute, then the quiz opens in the editor, where you can review the questions and any products that could not be placed, then publish.
- Read the questions and answers, change anything you like, then click Publish quiz.
Quiz builds, Magic Prompt and product recommendations use credit. Recommendations use products you sell and have in stock. See Plans and credit.
Start from a blank quiz
- Open Quizzes.
- Click Start from scratch.
- In the editor, add your questions and answers. See Edit questions, answers and logic.
Before you publish
- A quiz needs at least 1 question with at least 2 answers before it can go live. Tip: ask one question for each way your products differ.
- While credit is available, products can be recommended from your whole catalog without adding picks. Add picks only for products you want shown first. How products get picked explains how they work together.
- Use Shopper preview in the editor to try the whole quiz first. Completing a preview may use a little credit and saves no shopper data.
- Next, put the quiz on your store: Add the quiz to your store.
Free includes unlimited quizzes. Create or duplicate as many drafts as your store needs. AI builds use credits; building by hand does not.
